Almost 9 months ago I purchased my first home. It wasn’t without trials and tribulations, especially when purchasing a property on my own.
I have always had a love of interior and quirky homeware finds, my taste is quite eclectic and although I’ve shared a snapshot of my home on Instagram, I thought that it would be nice to have my home journey documented on my website.
The property is set within an exclusive small development in the grounds of Land Oak House which is a grand Victorian Property being former Headquaters of Wyre Forest District Council.
The Development takes shape via the conversion of Land Oak House plus also additional new build apartments (my property) built with character facades and therefore in a very sympathetic style. The property would now be 10 years old.
From the photos above, it looks like there wasn’t much to do in terms of renovations, which in some respect is true. However, when I got the keys to the property, the state it was left in meant that I needed to do a serious deep clean as well as some patching up with a few holes in the walls, missing skirting boards and some dodgy DIY fixes from the previous owners. But, it’s all mine!
The thing I have loved most about purchasing my new home is, of course, the decorating and interiors. Here is what I am currently lusting after this month.
