I’m sat here enjoying a smoothie and a chicken and pesto panini after a pretty good work out.
The gym is a great way to meet people believe it or not. The classes are like social groups. I’ve just overheard a group of grandmothers from Aqua Zumba talking about how they are having their grandchildren over this weekend… How sweet! My mum who goes to her yoga classes has friends she sits and natters with at the back of the class. Even awkward eye contact in the swimming pool always leads to a conversation about how funny the women look doing aqua aerobics.
The food is amazing and healthy! At my gym they do jacket potatos, salads, panini’s and smoothies you can eat in or takeaway. If it’s from the gym you know it must be healthyish!
It’s more like a spar day that gym, have a run on the running machiene for ten minutes. Then go in the changing room get your swimming costume on and then just relax and float about in the pool. Enjoy a relaxing time in the jaquzzi or pop in the steam room or sauna. The gym is an excellent way to unwind and relax after a sweaty workout. The showers and changing room facilities are pretty decent too.
And of course the reason we all go to the gym.. to work out
It’s a fantastic way to get fit indoors, you can scope at the fit men, watch location, location, location or listen to that new workout playlist you’ve prepared.
So get to your gym.. and enjoy all the benefits that it has to offer!
